Welcome to Sally’s Viewpoint

My Viewpoints Begin.

I want to welcome all readers to Sally’s Viewpoint. As an individual, not just a number, that I will do my best to create value for you to ponder. I am giving “Warning!, Warning!”, that some of my viewpoints are not yours, but keep an open mind to my viewpoint.

You wil have your own viewpoint on any subject that I am blogging about; and that is fine with me. I, as well, will keep an open mind to your viewpoint.

Halloween Visitors

Very early this morning, I was doing some more practicing with my new software program I purchased. DrawPlus X3 is the program from Serif. Since, I have upgraded from DrawPlus 8 version, I am able to do some animations with the new version. I haven’t got that far with working in this part of the software yet, though.

As soon, as I can, I will dislay some of my work here and at some of my other blogs that are specific to drawing. Before Halloween, I hope to have some images geared with the Halloween theme.

Sorry, I don’t think you will be able to see the drawing done with the software program. This site is putting a block on some of the content I want to post. (maybe I have to be a paying customer, for these benifits). I will have to post it at my other blogs, and see if they will let me post them. Really, they don’t have any obusive stuff to them. They are just cute drawings.

I’ve been practicing some drawing…

I’ve been practicing, every morning before work, some drawing of various kinds. They have different parts of the face to compositional layouts. I find myself using shading more and more to make each drawing look life like.

A man’s face

This set of my drawings shows how I used the shading and the compostion. I’ll have to practice more with the digital camera to take beter shots to display them better. These are scaled down from their original size, but you still see the details. You can still see the grid lines I used to start the drawing. The four center squares are where I placed the main subject of the drawing as the focal point.

The Pleasures of Sleep

The Pleasures of Sleep

After ringing in the New Year, the pleasures of sleep are the only thing on your mind. The new year has come and now what do you do? Most needed the rest from the past to revive their bodies to venture into the year to come.

A resolution to get more sleep will benefit your mind, body, and your additude. If you pay attention to your dreams you have when you sleep, they can tell you a lot about what is going on with you. They can even direct you to your solutions to any problems you are facing, with a solution, or two. When your brain has taken a break it can also help you be more creative.

This year take the pleasures of sleep and see if they do make a difference in everything, while you are awake.

How can I earn money by joining bloggers groups, or by simply blogging ?

I've seen 2 people being interviewed on tv who claimed they earn so much from blogging but they didn't elaborate how. I'm quite good doing research, am a CPA and had vast experience in banking work, sales and some consultancy job. Am really interested in blogging which aside from sharing info, could give me some financial rewards. Am willing to receive small renumeration at the start, to progress as the work entailed becomes more complicated.

If you are really skilled within a specific area ……… try writing your ideas on the blog ………. that in itself would not bring audience to your blog.

You need to promote it.

If you write and your readers find it useful, they would visit your blog regularly…

That would then be something like a newspaper specialising in a specific area

If you think you can do this… try

To know of the avenues available to you for earning

I’d like to start journaling either in my microsoft word or on a website that keeps it private..?

But where should I start?
Is there a website that I can write on and keep it completely private?
Or one with cool things to add to it to make it look cool like pictures and things?
Any ideas to get started are appreciated. Pleas and thank you!

I’ve been using Word exclusively for my journals for three years now and have no reason to change. I back up the documents on flash drives. All of my journals are password protected so they cannot be opened by others. Word is nice because of the many options you can use to separate types of things you write about. For example, whenever I copy an email into my journal, I put it in blue text. Instant messages go in green, etc.

It is also easy to insert photos however you wish. I highly recommend it. If you use an on-line site and your internet connection gets hosed, you can’t get at your journal. This is why I keep my files local.

Give it a try!

How do I set up page for blogging?

I’m trying to figure out how to attach articles I’ve written for other sites onto my blogging page, but don’t know how. I don’t want to just link the page, and I’ve tried copying and pasting, but the adds end up coming through, and I don’t want that. Does anyone know how to achieve this?

Don’t copy and paste directly to your blog page. All the ads will follow. What you can do is paste it to NotePad first. No ads will follow. Next, select the text you want, copy and paste it to your blog.

Any Provo Craft Cricut users, know how to line things up so you can cut out journaling that you've printed out

I've wasted a ton of time and paper trying to figure this out. I have some printed journaling that I would like cut out in a shape using the circut. I cannot figure out what the placement should be so that the journaling is not cut off by the cricut or is centered in the shape. Does this make any sense?

I guess if you wanted to be absolutely certain you could do a practice cut on "waste paper" and then unload. Place your paper with journaling so that it falls within the area cut using your "waste paper" and then load the paper and "repeat last" so that it does the same cut again. I'm not 100%, but that is what I would try. Otherwise I would try Cricut.com. Very helpful message board for how-to's and ideas.
If you are journaling by computer you could cut the shape out first then use that to set up your journaling so that when it prints out it fits within the shape. Then using repositionable tape secure the shape on all sides over the area where you printed out your journaling and reload the paper and print again. This time it will print on your shape. This similiar to how to print on ribbon strips.
Hope that helps.

Has anyboby got some general blogging tips for me? Is it really possible to make money blogging online?

I have read a lot about blogging for money, some of the stuff on here. How does this work? Is it possible? Are there any pitfalls to watch out for or scams. From what I have read it sounds like something I would really like to get involved with, any general advice would be much appreciated.

On the face of it blogging for money is fairly easy, what with all the possible hosts out there and many forms of monetizing I don't know why everyone isn't blogging to make money online.

However there is a bit of catch to it, especially if you are looking to make an online income out of it. A blog is NOT an online business, it is simply a marketing tool to create online income. If you want to make money blogging you will have to think like a business man and decide on how you are going to target your blog. By that I mean what niche are you going to write about.

These are just a few things you will need to be a successful blogger;

- You will need to choose a blogging platform with Blogger and Wordpress been the most popular. You can have a free domain or buy one for $10 or so.

- You will need to review your niche before starting, ensure there is enough traffic available to make money. You can use the adwords keyword tool to accomplish this.

- Take time to respond to emails and comments you may get. As I said treat it like a business, build confidence and respect in what you are doing.

- Research your niche on a daily basis so you can write informative posts and keep people up to date within that blogging niche.

- You will need to post articles at least 3 times a week, this is for 2 reasons. The search engines love fresh info and your readers may get bored if you don't write enough.

- Write for people first and the search engines second. Be sure to read up on search engine optimization but don't become too wrapped up with it, concentrate on building rapour with your visitors.

- You must get links to your blog, one of the best ways to do this is article marketing but also by writing quality content that people will want to link back to.

Remember blogging is not an easy income source it is going to take hard work and determination. The money will not come straight away and I suggest reading as much free info online as possible. Never pay for anything and in the early days maybe monetize your blog with google adsense.

There is no end of blogging info online and tips and traick for making money. Read it and then apply it, if it doesn't work…move on and try something else…this is how you become successful.

Good Luck

How good of a coping method is journaling for past trauma?

VERY good. Depends on the extent of the damage but talk therapy is probably better. Many folks get kinda stuck on the question of the victim being at fault.
